Our Approach

I take people out hiking to enjoy nature and see the local hidden natural gems.

Our Story

Bryce has 20 plus years hiking on Vancouver Island and comes from an outdoor family. As a former Nanaimo Search and Rescue member, he is aware of outdoor orientation, outdoor survival, and swift water safety. He has hiked with people of all calibers: young children, people with disabilities, and novice to experienced hikers. Bryce is a family man who prefers to hike with small groups to give a more intimate impression of Vancouver Island’s natural beauty.

Meet the Team

Bryce Copeland

Bryce has 20 plus years hiking on Vancouver Island and comes from an outdoor family. Growing up in three provinces, Northern BC, Saskatchewan and Northern Alberta, Bryce became familiar with many different terrains. Following in the steps of past fur traders like Peter Pond, his family canoed the Athabasca and Clearwater Rivers. As a youngster, Bryce spent his free time hiking up and down the rivers and creeks surrounding Fort McMurray. He also enjoyed following old survey, forestry and exploration roads in the winter with his cross country skis.

Have a look at our hikes page to learn about the different locations I visit regularly. I will also customize a hike based on natural features you might want to see. For example, views from mountaintops, waterfalls, old growth forests and canyons.
